When Brenda Denton's boss, J. L. Brighton, an Atlanta land developer, disappears while flying his small plane on a business trip, her world is torn apart. She has been secretly in love with J. L. for years. It is her hidden love that drives the rescue efforts in the hope to find him alive before an assassin finishes the job and denies her the chance to confess her love.

The personal, romantic, and business lives of J. L.'s three closest friends, a real estate agent, a stockbroker, and an insurance agent, collide as they join rescue efforts to find their friend. While they all are experts in their professional fields, their private lives hold deep secrets.

As the sexual tensions escalate and new love interests are formed, nerves are stretched and hearts are opened. This story of a triple romance creates unusual sexual triangles that evolve and intensify.

When Brenda Denton hears that her boss's plane is missing, she realizes that she never told him that she loved him and now he's gone. J.L. Brighton's plane went down somewhere in the swamps of Louisiana and he realizes that it has been three years since his wife passed away, and it's time for him to tell Brenda that he loves her. Will he make it out alive with alligators swarming his crashed plane?

The author immediately went into the mystery/suspense of the book and also gave a description of each of the characters' lives and how they were each connected to J. L. Brighton. You have the sense that each character could have wanted J. L. dead but they each seemed surprised with his disappearance.

There is a lot of action, suspense in this story, which keeps you trying to guess who could have wanted J.L. dead. It is hard to believe that one of his friends or business associates would be involved in the sabotaging of his plane. As you start reading more about some of the characters, you start seeing them having some romantic feelings toward each other. It was nice that not only J.L. and Brenda were in love but four more characters find love.

Ms. Gray writes a busy story with lots of twists and turns. I enjoyed the pace of the story. I would have liked to have read more about Brenda and J.L. after his rescue and their romance. Seen their relationship grow from boss/ employee to husband and wife. Wanted to know what happened to two characters that found love in Lousiana and also the other two characters to see if their relationship acutally made it and they resolved their problems. The story will still draw you in and keep your attention from beginning to end.

If you are looking for a story with lots of twists and turns in the plot, this book is for you.
