Romantic Suspense/Mystery

Lynea Kreig has spent the past three years being invisible. After running with her little sister halfway across the country–away from her abusive cult leader husband–she seeks nothing but safety and anonymity.

When she's offered a job which would keep her close to her sister, Lynea can't refuse. But the job puts her in close quarters with Professor Brennan Gage, a man bent on exposing cult leaders to the public. If he discovers her secret, he could destroy the life she's worked so hard to build. Over time, she finds herself drawn to Brennan's klutzy kindness. He tells her he loves her, but happiness for Lynea could never be so simple–especially once her husband appears at the front door…

Author Jeannie Hall delivers a spine-tingling thriller packed with drama and a side order of romance in VIOLATION OF FAITH, part of the Cult Wife series.

It's an intense story of two sisters who are desperately seeking a new beginning after escaping from a religious cult. The author uses graphic details to highlight their previous situation. As bad as it was, though, the author did a phenomenal job presenting it in a realistic fashion.

There's a strong sense of hope running through the storyline as a main theme. Lynea and her sister are both well-developed characters. When Lynea and Brennan become close, it opens a new world for the sisters.

The dramatic element is handled well, providing several "gotcha" moments as the cult representatives try to reclaim the two women. I didn't expect a few of the twists and turns, which made this story even more engaging.
