Book 2 of A Security Specialists International
Contemporary Romance, Erotic Romance, Romantic Suspense/Mystery

Calista Meyers is a world-famous, soon-to-be-ex-supermodel. After arriving for a fashion shoot in Cartagena, Colombia, she realizes her agent has misled her about the nature of her last modeling assignment.

Paramilitary leader Jaime Cruz paid her slimy agent a lot of money to get Callie to his part of the world. Cruz has threatened to kidnap and kill her younger brothers if she attempts to leave the country.

What's a Marine brat to do? Callie calls on her childhood friend Keely Walsh-Maddox and Keely's husband Ren, the owner of Security Specialists International, to help her.

SSI sends operative Risto Smith to rescue Callie. The former Marine has had a thing for the model ever since he'd first seen her picture on a magazine cover. But he knows he isn't nearly good enough for a lady like her. She's an assignment and can be nothing else.

Callie knows Risto is just the man for her and decides to use the close quarters of their escape from Colombia to convince the stubborn male. When Risto leaves her in Panama and disappears, Callie is upset but not defeated. But after two months passes with no word from Risto and with her enemy Cruz in the US and back on her trail, Callie once again turns to Risto for protection.

This time, it would be a cold day in hell before Callie allows Risto to turn his back on their love.

Danger is in Calista's future from the moment she started her photo shoot in Colombia but it would be a cold day in hell before she lets a paramilitary leader ruin her life.

Calista Meyers has been well trained by her father and knows how to handle herself in a dangerous situation. Believe me when I say she can handle using a gun and even a knife when it comes to either saving herself or even saving the man she is falling in love with. She has never had the kind of feelings that overcome her when she is around Risto but she knows that she will do anything in order to keep him in her life after they are safely in the United States. So when she finds herself alone in Panama she has no choice but to restart her life without the love of her life.

Risto Smith is a former Marine and finds himself in the arms of his fantasy woman. He knows that he cannot stay away from her sexually so if she wants him in her bed, who is he to say no? Only that the more time he spends with her the more he wants her, especially the way she handles herself in the murky waters of the Colombia River in trying to escape Jaime Cruz, the paramilitary leader, and her courageous way of helping him with an anaconda. Only he believes that he is tainted for her and that she deserves a better man than her, so he leaves her in Panama and tries to forget her. After two months of being away from her, he knows that he cannot live without her and he needs to find her, but he gets news that she is in trouble and he goes in for the rescue.

I won't give away the details of this suspenseful and captivating story, but I must say that there is not a moment in it that isn't wonderful and thrilling. The amount of detail of their journey in Colombia is unbelievable, it feels as if you are right there with them. The love and need that they both have for each other is beautifully portrayed. I loved all the characters in this story. The ex-military friends of Risto were truly amazing, the way they protected each other and how they welcomed Calista into the family. Calista shows so much courage not only in Colombia but also on Risto's island and how she became a relevant part of the take down of Jaime Cruz.

COLD DAY IN HELL is an intense suspense/ mystery romance story that is a must read. Believe me, you will not regret buying this book. I need to buy book one of this series and I will be on the look out for the next book.
