BDSM, Contemporary Romance, Erotic Romance, Western Romance

Book one in the Buckin' Bull Riders series.

Professional bull rider Conner Raub hides a secret from the world. He's a Dom. When he meets a submissive on tour who pulls at his Dom tendencies, he fights to deny his true self, believing his colleagues will condemn his lifestyle.

Jessica Talbot is new to the BDSM scene and the bull riding tour, but after seeing Conner come to the aid of a submissive being mistreated in a club, she sets out to have him for her own.

After their first night together she asks him to train her to submit and he refuses, afraid to mix business with pleasure. But Jessica isn't deterred. She'll do whatever it takes to make him realize he can have it all--a career, true love and the BDSM lifestyle he craves.

IMPACT is a delicious story of a bull-riding Dom. Nothing like a double whammy of alpha proportions! The allure of these characters balancing between total relationship disaster and true romance will keep readers flipping the pages wondering just what it is they want.

With the premise of a reluctant Dom connecting with a woman exploring her submissive desires, the relationship is a bit risky. When Jessica discovers the Dom she saw rescue a sub in need is also the PBR star she has lusted after for too long, she's intrigued. But Connor hides his Dom persona while on tour. Connor wants a full-time D/s lifestyle but only after he retires from bull riding. This becomes nearly impossible with Jessica at his side now because she's just too hard for him to resist. Their chemistry is off the charts hot – fan needed for some steamy scenes.

It is Jessica's topping from the bottom that drove me crazy though, along with a few other of the BDSM aspects seeming off. Jessica would take over and Connor would let her, seeming less sure of what he wants than he says. He never truly seems to be in control, even giving direction that is never followed. They never negotiate or discuss their limits, and while it's only mild BDSM stuff, it is still important to write into the dialogue. Doms need to be firm – Connor may have been alpha but he let Jessica get too much of the upper hand in their D/s relationship. Someone needs to whip him into shape.
