Trust is something that is earned, not given. Each relationship is based on trust so if there is no trust, then there is nothing. The two Dom's in this story have a tough road ahead of them in order to get the woman they want to trust them.
Brianna "Bri" had lived a controlling life with her husband but after one incident that could have taken her to prison she decided to leave and live her life with her daughter. Bri was ready to start her new life now that her daughter was off to college. Her best friend had a great idea to make the plantation she had into a BDSM Club but she was really not into that lifestyle. But after much discussion, the plan was made and a club was opened.
Clay was ready for a new start in life so when the opportunity came to interview in a small town with a different way of living and after seeing the owner, he knew he was making the right choice. He also knew that his brother, Blade, would acknowledge that Bri was the one for them. Only that Bri kept a secret and he knew Blade did not accept women that lied.
Clay and Blade did everything possible to try to be gentleman to Bri since she had trust issues with men because of what her ex-husband did to her. One night after a collaring ceremony, Bri thought it was safe to walk home without an escort but she found out the hard way and was assaulted. Clay and Blade kept her in their apartment to keep her safe. After courting her before the assault and their relationship still going nowhere and another assault at they club, they knew that they had to seduce her and make her feel again. So when they did, it seemed as if everything was okay but one act changed everything.
The characters in this story were great. The plot was developed very well. Bri had lots of insecurities but she never overacted on them. She truly believed that all men were liars and they all covered up for each other. Now as for Clay and Blade, I was a little disappointed on how they handled certain aspects of their relationship with Bri. After further explanation on their true feeling for Bri, I can understand why they acted how they acted. The chemistry between the characters was there but for Bri, she tried to hide it but after they show her how a man should care for his woman, it was hot. They truly cared for her well being but at times she just felt that they wanted to make all the decisions for her and that did not sit well with her.
I really enjoyed this read and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. There are some scenes that are BDSM related so just be aware when considering this book. Happy reading!
