CHASING BLISS (book seven in the Nights in Bliss, Colorado Series) is a phenomenal read that had me hooked from beginning to end. With the gripping suspense, quirky characters, and oh-so-hot sex, Sophie Oak has hit another one out of the park.

This is the story of Jesse McCann and Cade Sinclair. They're the mechanics we met in book six who had a vendetta against our villain in that book. They've settled for the time being in Bliss. The men have grown up together like brothers when they were in foster care together and have been together ever since. They don't really put down roots, but Jesse takes a look at the newest person in Bliss--prickly attorney Gemma Wells, and suddenly has a reason to say.

Gemma came to Bliss when she hit rock bottom. She lost her fiancé, her job, and almost lost her mother to cancer. She's learned that emotion is seen for weakness, so she stays away from that in favor of lists and plans. However, she wasn't expecting Jesse and Cade to see past her harsh exterior to the vulnerable woman underneath. She wants them but knows that it could never work--love never does.

But when Gemma's past threatens her, she just may have to trust the men with her heart in order to escape with her life.

There are so many things to comment about on why I loved this book so much. If I did each one individually, I'd be here forever. I'm sure you don't want to read that anyway, so I'll just try to sum it for you.

Bliss, Colorado is the best town ever created! Seriously. The characters are completely crazy, but the people of the town really love each other and look out for everyone. I love that we get to see all of the characters I love with each successive book, and we learn more and more interesting things about some of them. Maybe even a little more than I wanted to know, LOL.

But about CHASING BLISS specifically, Gemma was feisty but flawed and her men, Jesse and Cade were the same, but it seemed as though the three of them together filled in the holes they had in their lives. I know it's easy to say that it would be nice to have two ridiculously hot men sharing my bed, but it's got to be hard work to make a relationship with three people work. I thought that Sophie Oak illustrated some of those pitfalls beautifully in this book, and it made it all the more intriguing.

The plot behind who was stalking and after Gemma was so much more complex than I could have imagined, and it amazed me how well the author was able to tie it all in. Even though we know the who and even the how, the why was completely devious and just blew me away!

Interesting enough, there wasn't a ton of sex in CHASING BLISS. I know, right?! But, what there was of it was smoldering and sensual. Jesse and Cade were some serious dirty talkers. They were immensely hot. I didn't think it was possible for Gemma to loosen up, but I should not have doubted Cade and Jesse's prowess.

This was another great one for me. Sophie Oak creates some of the best stories, dialogue, and characters of any writer out there. I've loved this entire Nights in Bliss, Colorado series, and CHASING BLISS being number seven in this series hasn't lessened my love for it one bit. If anything, I'm waiting with bated breath for book eight to come out!
