SUMMARY
Emma Walters didn't choose to be a spy, but when her crazy father was caught selling bombs to the wrong people, she was given a choice--become a spy or rot in jail. Her exciting new life as agent Kate Wells becomes more so when she discovers her new boss is the agent--undercover and investigating her father at the time--who took her to third base. Emma is already half in love with the dark and dangerous Chase Sanders. Kate wants nothing more than for him to finish what he started, but he's the devil incarnate. And one doesn't make deals or fall in love with the devil.

If someone had told Chase he'd fall in love with a certain virgin when he was on his last mission, he would have shot them dead, sniper style. She was nothing more than collateral damage, damn it. But watching the sexy new spy morph into a bombshell killing machine is too much to bear. So when the powers that be command him to train her in the art of seduction for her first--and possibly last--mission, he's scared witless. Making love to Kate means preparing her for sex with another man.

Somehow, Chase has to find a way to get Kate in--and out--of her mission without dying. And without falling in love.

This book is an erotic romance. It contains graphic language, explicit, smokin' hot sex, a really sexy menage, lots of juicy conflict, some suspense, a dark and dangerous spy boss and a spunky bombshell heroine.

TRAINED FOR SEDUCTION is simply amazing. Though there were lots of sex in the book, I felt that most of them are not gratuitous and that each succeeding intimate encounter actually brought the main characters closer together, both emotionally and in understanding the other better. Moreover, though there is a plot, this story is more of the journey of the characters' inner selves.

Chase was ordered to train Kate in the matter of seduction and relieve her of her virginity before she is sent on her first mission as a spy. They were explosive together, and each was insatiable for the other. After the weekend, they find they couldn't stay away from each other. More, Chase discovered that Kate was a submissive, exactly what his dominant side needed. Yet, when Kate finds out about her first mission, she is sure to hate him. Worse, she may not come back alive. What is he going to do?

I love Kate, especially her scary smartness. Rarely have I seen a heroine so smart, not only in terms of knowledge, but in the way she perceives things. Her combination of experience with innocence, her love for and loyalty to Chase were endearing.

Chase is a complex hero, maybe because he'd lived and gone through a lot, especially as a field agent. His angst is one of the highlights of this book as he is truly conflicted where Kate is concerned, caught as he is between the proverbial rock and a hard place. Yet, I love how he loved and took care of Kate. He also provided some of the funny moments in the book, especially when he gets so turned on by Kate's smartness. I love the two of them together; they were dynamite!

I also love the relationship dynamics in this book, between Chase and Kate, Chase and Jake, and Kate and Jake. The BDSM scenes in this book are not hardcore, which is great for me. I feel they enhanced the couple's relationship and caused Kate to understand Chase better.

I came to this book without expectations and I didn't expect to enjoy it so much! I'll be checking out Ms Downing's next book in the series as well as her other books.

How far can someone push a person before she breaks and hates him, as he wanted?

Emma fell in love with Alexander from the moment that she saw him. Now, as Kate, she still loves him (Alex's real name is Chase), but for how long? Especially when he said he'll hand her to his best friend and that she has to sleep with him? That, no matter what, she is to make sure Jake returns from their mission at any cost, even at the expense of her life? Damn, I would hate him, too.

Emma had a brilliant mind but never lived a normal life. She was raised by her father solely after her mother passed away. Her father had her working in a lab building bombs, and she thought he was selling them to the United States government, but he wasn't. So the eve of her birthday, she was told to wait for someone. That's when she meets the devil himself, but that is also when she sets her plan in motion, and she escapes.

When Chase first met Emma, he was Alexander and he was on a mission to trap her father. Her father had told him that a birthday gift was waiting for him in his room and that is when he fell in love. It was not part of his mission to seduce Emma and take her, but he could not resist her. But his ego was bruised because small little Emma knocked him out and she escaped. Not only that but she evaded him for some time before he learned that her father had trapped her again.

Now, due to an accident, Emma was given a new identity as super sexy spy Kate and her boss is none other than Alexander, whose real name is Chase Sanders. Because she is being tapped for a new mission soon, Chase was asked by the powers above to make sure she is properly trained, especially in the matter of seduction, as she is inexperienced.

As the weekend nears, he realizes that on Monday he was no longer going to have Kate in his arms. He was in deep shit, but worse will be when she found out about her first assignment because then, she will hate him.

TRAINED FOR SEDUCTION is a very interesting and enthralling read, and it tore me to pieces seeing Chase so torn. He loves Kate and fears what will happen when she finds out her first assignment might be her last. This assignment was an almost guarantee that she would die. Throughout this whole book, my emotions were all over the place. My heart was humming when they were close, but then I was angry and cried because at times Chase was a total jerk.

This book was awesome, and Chase was the devil himself. He had a dark side that he wanted to leave behind, but Kate made him lose control. He knew that she was submissive already and she enjoyed rough sex, so his dark side wanted to play. Kate was so strong; I admired her so much because I would have totally broken down when the mission started. The chemistry they share is amazing; it seems that they can both make each other break down.

I can't wait until Jake Anderson's book comes out in October. I am waiting anxiously because he deserves to find love just like Chase. Pick this book up today and get lost in this incredible emotional story. This will definitely be a re-read for me.
