SECRET SANTA BABY is a sweet, delightful story of friends becoming lovers.

Tessa Stoneman has been waiting for long-time friend and business partner Nicholas Boone to make his move on her. She'd loved him since their college days, but Nick's best friend Damien was the more aggressive of the two, and she'd been his on-and-off girlfriend for years. Finally, she decided, no more. She was tired of waiting for Nick, and in order to move on with her life, she determined to leave the company and start her own business...Will Nick get his chance to tell her how he feels?

Love that Nick was so decisive in this instance. For a minute there, I was afraid he'd defer to Damien again. I was rooting for him all the way. Nick, that is, not Damien. Love that scene when he "goes big". I think every woman would love to have a guy who put himself on the line like that.

I did feel that the story rushed along to its conclusion, hence my real rating is 3.5 stars. I like my angst to be drawn out and the sexual tension higher, and yes, would've loved if there were more conflict, and so, I do believe the story would've been better if it were longer, the characters more developed and their romance given time to grow. Still, given its length, this is a short, fun, romantic read, perfect for this holiday season.
