Haunted by memories of her beloved daughter, Sophie Turner leaves Arizona for a new position in Maine as housekeeper in Pendelton Manor. Arriving late, she walks in on a threesome between her boss's cousin and two friends. Embarrassed, she hides while peering in on the group and growing more turned on by the sight. Sophie wonders if she should announce her arrival or run back the way she came. Soon, however, the trio discovers her and makes their introductions while Sophie tries to hide her mortification at getting caught watching the orgy.

Her first meeting with her boss, widower Adrian Pendelton, leaves her with a feeling of empathy and arousal for this cold, brooding man who has clearly suffered the pain of loss as she has. Not wanting to give up on the new position and the excitement of living in a new town, Sophie decides to give the housekeeping position a try, though she is quite leery about the people who inhabit the manor and their wicked ways.

Soon, Sophie gets to know the family members of Pendelton Manor and the scandal that rocked the foundation of the household. Adrian suspects someone had been having an affair with his wife shortly before her suspicious death. Sophie cannot believe any of the wonderful people she's met would be responsible for it, but does her best to stay out of it.

Sophie soon finds her self-enforced celibacy coming to an end when she is lured into the sexually deviant parties held by Adrian, his cousins and the women who hang around them. Discovering her wild-side, it brings her closer to confronting Adrian with her growing desire for him.

Can Sophie warm up the cold-hearted Adrian? Will he see her as more than a housekeeper and as an actual eye-catching woman? Can they solve Adrian's wife's death while distracted by their carnal attraction?

Can Sophie deal with the pain, the demons that eat up Adrian? Will she be able to comfort him and see him laugh and be part of the sexual games that are played at the manor? After a year of not having sex with a woman, will he finally be intimate again with someone?

Two years ago, Sophie lost her daughter, Emily, to a brain tumor. She knows how it feels to lose a person you love, which is the same pain that Adrian is experiencing. So she knows that the cold way he may look at her or the cold way he speaks to her is because of the loss of his wife. Sophie stayed in her room most of the time as she wanted to give the household members and their guests their privacy, because her first night at the manor she walked in on a ménage.

Adrian is a man on a mission trying to find the truth of what happened to his wife the night she fled from the house. He knows that she was cheating on him but not with whom. Could it be his twin cousins, Ash and Adam? Adrian blames himself for her death although their marriage was over a long time before the incident. As to his new housekeeper, he was attracted to her from the moment that she walked into his home but he knew they couldn't be together. The night when she sought refuge in his room was the night when everything changed…

As days passed, strange things happened at the manor. The generator fuel line was disconnected. Someone's cat went missing and was later found dead. Could he have eaten something that was just made him sick? Or was there something sinister afoot?

Holy crap, was this story hot! From the beginning ‘til the very end, it was sizzling hot with sexual encounters among multiple partners or just between Sophie and Adrian. It was extremely intense with bondage, spanking, or the toys that they used to torture the women with. I didn't want to put down this book; I just wanted to keep turning the pages and just join them in their sexual journey. I loved how the author captured both Adrian's pain and his outrage towards his cousins, but I wanted to kick his ass when he would treat Sophie like shit. PENDELTON MANOR was well written with characters that will captivate the readers.

I want to forewarn the reader that there is some public sex, group sex and/or voyeurism in this book, but if you're willing, I will cheer you on. I totally love BJ Wane's writing style and will continue looking forward to more books of this author. Pick up this book today and see where PENDELTON MANOR takes you.
