Erotic Romance, LGBTQ
Todd Gregory has become one of the most acclaimed writers and editors of gay male erotica over the past ten years. His short stories run the gamut from romance to noir to horror to fantasy—but the common denominator is always hot, passionate sex between two men. Published everywhere from websites to anthologies to magazines, Todd Gregory is always provocative—physically and intellectually.
Here, in Promises in Every Star, for the first time, all of his published short stories are in one place. This collection also includes several never-before-published stories.

PROMISES IN EVERY STAR is a collection of gay, erotica, short stories that has it all—romance, heartbreak, lust, fantasy, voyeurism, drag queens, and athletes!
This was a great, diverse, collection of stories that really did cover a vast number of themes. There was hot sex with vampires and angels, anonymous one night stands, voyeuristic neighbors, lustful reunions, and even a couple potential shots at love. Whether the sex involved one person or three, humans or supernatural creatures, the common thread between all of the stories was the heat and the desire.
This book was a quick read with a variety of stories, some of which could easily be expanded upon to create novellas or full length books, in my opinion. But I most enjoyed the fact that even the stories that were truly focused on a single encounter seemed complete. There were desires that were sparked and fulfilled and that was enough to make those stories enjoyable. I did not feel that I needed more character or plot development to fully enjoy these stories—which often happens when I read short stories.
This author is definitely not limited to writing one genre of erotica. He writes the lustful, lovelorn vampire encounter just as well as he writes the contemporary one night stand or the doomed human/ angel love affair. This book highlighted the author's writing flexibility and was very enjoyable to read.
