If I had a dollar for every time this book made me squirm…well, I'd have a lot of dollars. Mia Ashlinn knows her way around an MMF ménage like nobody's business, and this first novel in the Sweet Serenity series is no exception.

Jaycee Dalton has been running from ex-fiancé Grayson Blakemore and Cade McCoy for 3 years. When she and best friends Katie-Anne and Shannon decide to play a game of truth or dare and she winds up at a fortune teller, Jaycee knows her time has run out. She knows her men are coming for her, and even though she tries to hide, Gray and Cade won't let her stay away much longer.

Gray and Cade have waited patiently for their little hellcat to come home, but as much as they love each other, they need Jaycee in their life for good. Jaycee may fight Gray's dominant nature and Cade's wicked playfulness tooth and nail, but she wants nothing more than to be back in their arms. When she finds out the truth behind their machinations to win her back, Jaycee will have to decide whether to forgive and forget or run once again.

Mia Ashlinn has one seriously wicked imagination, thank goodness! I've read all of the books in the Sweet Serenity series, but this first one I had somehow missed. It was great to be able to see the story of the threesome who permeates the other books in this series with their presence. I was completely captivated by the chemistry between Jaycee, Gray and Cade, and Jaycee fighting her men 'til the very end was fun to watch!

While the men could be a tad overbearing, I thought their extreme love for Jaycee shone through every page of this book. The guy-on-guy action was "burn the roof down" hot, but when all three of them came together, the fireworks were explosive (in a good way). The unrestrained and raw passion was incredibly potent, and I appreciated the equality between all three of them; nobody felt extraneous in the equation.

But for me, the absolute best part of this book, and this series as a whole, is the banter between the women. Jaycee and her girlfriends Katie-Anne and Shannon are so awesome. I would love to have friends like them to literally smack me upside the head when I'm being stupid! I stand by my opinion that the best line in this entire book is Jaycee saying, "You foul-smelling thundercunts!" to her girlfriends!

There were a few things that I didn't care for in DESTINED TO BE THREE, such as Gray and Cade not coming after Jaycee for 3 long years and that Jaycee gave in pretty quickly when she reunited with her men. But overall, this book definitely made me want to pack up and move to the ménage capital of the US in Serenity, Kansas.
