Erotic Romance, Paranormal Romance, Vamps & Shifters Romance
For Ryx, hunting dinosaur bones is more than a scientific curiosity; it's a way for him to connect with his people's ancestors. But he isn't the only member of the team with secrets. He knows Eli isn't really a boy, and she doesn't smell quite human. What he doesn't know is that Eliza is a werewolf, and her past is about to catch up with them.

I picked this book because of my love for the blurb. It sounded really interesting and a different twist on a shifter story.
Ryx knows there's something wrong with Eli, as she doesn't quite smell human. What he doesn't know is that she's a werewolf, and her past is about to catch up with her.
I will have to say if you're a reader like me, the cover art plays a big part in your impression of the book. So when I received the book and noticed that it was a digitally made cover, I had a bit of trouble at first getting into it. Only because I am an old school reader who loves the look of real people on the covers.
Putting all that aside though, I found the story to be very engaging. Ryx was such a well formed character that I was able to see him as I read and not picture him as a cartoon. Eliza was developed just as well and the plot was exciting and fun. This story was great for the mere fact that it wasn't the normal shifter coupling that we're used to.
This story was fantasy, romance and a western mixed all together and pure fun to read. There's a great deal of action in the story that keeps it moving so it's not just a bunch of fluff thrown in to make a book. It had a wonderful ending.
I loved the book. It gets five stars from me as a must read and keep.
