Book 8 of Pride
Erotic Romance, Paranormal Romance, Vamps & Shifters Romance

Ricky Lee has no plans of getting serious about anyone, but he will protect Toni Jean-Louis Parker. Not just because he's been hired to do so, but because it's the right thing to do. And if that means traveling around the country with one complicated She-jackal, dealing with chocolate-eating wild dogs, instigating trouble between his brothers, and having the most amazing sex he's ever had…well, who said his job didn't have perks?

Toni doesn't know how she keeps getting herself into these situations. But even she has to admit there's something about Ricky Lee Reed that she finds kind of interesting…and downright sexy. Now they just have to survive long enough to figure out if what they have is worth fighting for

Wolf with Benefits is part of the Pride Series. Do you need to read the others before this one? No, but it definitely helps. So does a flowchart to keep track of all the people. Not only the new characters, but the other couples from previous books and there are a lot of them.

Ricky Lee (brother to previous heroine, Ronnie - see what I mean about flowcharts?) runs into Toni Jean-Louis Parker (and her 9 or is it 10? prodigy siblings) in a hilarious, "Are you my daddy?" set up. Ricky is not interested in long term entanglements but he quickly learns that this particular She-jackal is just what he wants.

The actual romance is low-key and relatively drama free which is a great contrast with the high maintenance shifters (siblings and diva hockey players, alike) both have to deal with. Both leads are very likeable and you can't help but enjoy their crazy courtship.

For fans of this series, Wolf with Benefits is a terrific addition not only for the chance to revisit old favorites but because Ms. Laurenston added some very, very interesting new shifters to this madcap, downright hysterical, universe. Definitely recommended.
