- Book 1 of End Street Detective Agency
LGBTQ, Romantic Suspense/Mystery
The very thought of paranormals is enough to drive Private Investigator Sam Enderson mad, but add in his attraction to a vampire, and his world is turned upside down.
Sam Enderson is a human detective who finds himself working for paranormal creatures, despite his resolve to stick with humans only.
Bob is a vampire and turns up on Sam's doorstep to rent a room. Sparks fly, and Sam is attracted to the vampire in spite of himself.
Soon after Sam is cursed by a witch, two cases land on his desk. Dealing with werewolves, annoying ghosts and a grumpy gargoyle is bad enough. But somehow, in amongst all of this chaos, he has to find a lost fae and a missing shifter child.

In a world where paranormal creatures are known to humans, Sam has decided to take over the detective agency that he inherited from his Uncle. And although the building is in an area where the races mix, Sam has decided that he isn't going to work with paranormals.
But his uncle had secrets that Sam knows nothing about. Because along with the building that housed the agency and the apartments above, it also has a gargoyle that comes to life, a ghostly office assistant and a sexy vampire, Bob, who rents a room.
And from there, the hilarity ensues. The characters are a fun bunch and act more like family complete with the squabbles all families have. They are an endearing bunch whom I would love to read more of.
With stories that are written by more than one author, there are sometimes gaps in the flow of the writing. There are none here. The writing flows smoothly and seamlessly I wouldn't be able to tell you who wrote what. The world describe within the story was easily imagined as where the characters.
My only disappointment was that of the two jobs Sam had, only one was completed. Which hopefully means book number two is in the works. I can't wait to read more of Sam's and Bob's further adventures in the next book.
