Between two brothers...

Xander Santiago spent years living it up as a billionaire playboy. Never given a chance to lead his family business in the boardroom, he became a master in the bedroom instead. His older brother, Javier, inherited the company and worked tirelessly to make it an empire. But while cutthroat corporate espionage took its toll on Javier, nothing was as devastating as the seemingly senseless murder of his wife. It propelled him into a year of punishing rage and guilt...until Xander came to his rescue.

Comes an irresistible woman...

Eager to rejuvenate Javier's life, Xander shanghais him to Louisiana, where they meet beautiful London McLane. After a decade of tragedy and struggle, London is determined to make a fresh start—and these sexy billionaire brothers are more than willing to help. In every way. London is stunned to find herself open to every heated suggestion...and desperately hoping that her love will heal them.

And inescapable danger.

But a killer is watching, on a single-minded mission to destroy everything the Santiago brothers hold dear, especially London. As fear and desire collide, every passionate beat of her heart could be her last.

There are some characters you read about in series and you say, I can't wait for "such and such" to get their own book. There is something about the character that speaks to you or annoys you, or makes you laugh, and you have to learn more about them. Well, Xander Santiago was that character for me in the Wicked Lover series by Shayla Black. I knew that there was more to the billionaire playboy who slept with everything in a skirt, and I couldn't wait to see what was under the surface.

So you can imagine my excitement when I found that OURS TO LOVE, the seventh book in the series, was going to featuring him. And I have to admit, Xander surprised me more than I expected him to. Who knew there was so much depth behind that sinful facade?

As I said, this book is about Xander Santiago--man-whore, billionaire, brother. He has been watching his brother Javier circle the drain after Javier's wife's death a year ago. Tired of seeing his brother destroy himself, Xander drags him down to Louisiana in order to dry him out. It's there that their life changes forever.

London McLane is no stranger to strife. After suffering a debilitating injury, she missed the last ten years of life while trying to rehabilitate herself. Ready to start living, she moves with her cousin in Louisiana, and runs straight into Xander and Javier Santiago. With very little experience with men, she's surprised to find herself with two of them wanting her.

There is more in their way than just their three pasts, and when a dangerous threat comes for London, they just may lose the true love they've finally found.

So let's just say, YUM! Seriously, Shayla Black outdid herself with the hotness in this one. Xander and Javier were sinfully sexy and dominant. I didn't really like Javier in the beginning of the book, but he grew on me. Xander was definitely the draw for me here.

Now, I have to admit, it wasn't all sex and sunshine in OURS TO LOVE. All three of our main characters have some serious issues to deal with in this novel, but they just happen to have some pretty sizzling encounters while working them out.

The plot was interesting, it was different than the other stories in the series and so it really piqued my interest early on and its twists and turns kept me on my toes.

OURS TO LOVE is book seven in the Wicked Lovers series, but it could be read as a standalone. There is some background about peripheral characters that you'd miss out on, but the main story wouldn't be ruined without reading the other books in the series. Since I've been a fan of the series since the beginning, it was so much fun to see the other couples who've been featured in the previous books pop up throughout this story, especially since we get a glimpse of how their HEA's are going.

And while the sex was hot and the plot was suspenseful, I did have a couple of issues with this one. The fact that this love story takes place over about a week's time just made it too hard for me to believe. I know that it can happen but with all of the issues facing this trio, it just seemed very unrealistic. Also, I felt as though the handling of Javier's alcohol addiction was glossed over as an afterthought. Someone who was drunk everyday for a year just doesn't stop one day and bam, they are ok. I felt like that did a disservice to a serious issue.

That being said, I really did enjoy OURS TO LOVE. It was sexy and steamy, suspenseful and enthralling. And I'm looking forward to the series continuing. I love the way Shayla Black is able to blend the sensuality of erotica with strong plots and intrigue that keep me glued to the page.
