When the Dom's away...the subs will play! Jack and Sam married Abby. It was supposed to be for forever, but lately Abby wonders where her alpha male has gone. Jack has retreated, and life has become decidedly vanilla. It isn't the true threesome she and Sam wanted. Sam and Abby know the time has come to fight for what they need.

A call from his mentor forces Jack to revisit the club where he discovered his sexuality. Jack's half-brother is in the city and interested in a little blackmail. Can Jack handle two defiant subs and a brother in need of tough love?

Sometimes all it takes to find the way home is a little love and a lot of bondage.

Sophie Oak has catapulted her way to the top of my auto-buy list with her sexy menage romances; but when I thought she couldn't write any better, she blows me away with a phenomenal second book in the Texas Siren series entitled SIREN IN THE CITY.

Jack, Sam, and Abby are back, and it's been 6 months since they got married and Jack got shot at the courthouse. Jack has recovered physically from his gun shot wound but mentally he's withdrawn from Sam and Abby. They miss their Dom, and they don't know what to do to get him back. So when Jack is forced to return to The Club, the BDSM dungeon where he used to be the Dom-in-residence, Sam and Abby decide to follow him in order to get his attention. Then the fun really begins. Will Jack be strong enough to give his two subs what they each really need?

I just don't know where to begin on how this good this book is. It takes the foundation that was laid in SMALL TOWN SIREN, and just goes beyond. Jack, Sam, and Abby are finding that life as a threesome isn't completely easy but the love is there, and they are willing to fight to make the relationship work. Seeing Jack vulnerable made my heart ache. As a man that doesn't show feeling that well, it was wonderful to see him showing such emotion for those that he loves. Abby is about the same in this book as the last, but Sam really shows range as he fights to get the relationship that he desires.

Also, the dynamic changed in this book as the trio becAme a true menage. The love scenes are so hot and steamy, and there's a great plot as well with the change of scenery from the first book. I must say that there are much stronger M/M elements in this book, but the way it was done just made it seem to be a more natural expression of the relationship. It's very unusual for such an erotic book to have such well-developed characters and plot. I was engrossed from the first sentence. And the public scenes in the BDSM club...whew! I think they have the potential to have even those not interested in the genre to be volunteering to be strapped to a St. Andrew's Cross themselves.

The way that it all came together just made it impossible for me to put it down. I can't wait to see what's next for the trio, although I have my suspicions (you won't get me to tell though). But I know that whatever new adventures come their way, I want to be first in line to read all about it!
