In a World where the Alpha are the law, Beta the order, and Omega the knowledge…the Delta have become the oppressed.

The night of Samhain is fast approaching, and for that one night a year, Gray and the last remaining Dire Wolves—amongst others—are entrusted with the protection of the veil between worlds, while it's at its thinnest. Add in the threat of a new drug on the market, and they'll have to work twice as hard to keep everyone safe. The last thing he needs is a sexy little Delta to save.

As a lowly Delta, Red Wolf shifter Ryan has never known peace. Cast away and unwanted, he is quickly taken captive and trained as a dancer at The Howling, a strip club in the worst part of Praeter. Hungry, abused, and kept in a drug-induced fog, his life is nothing. He is nothing but the orders and twisted demands of his captor. All that changes when he catches the scent of a wolf in the crowd.

Long ebony hair, eyes that can't decide if they're green or blue as they follow him on stage. Unable to stop himself, Ryan does the one thing guaranteed to earn him punishment. He touches the other wolf. Peace. For those few brief moments, the hunger, the pain, the torment…all gone. The price to feel that respite again, though, could very well be his life.

Finally, something different! DELTA BLUES is a fantastic start to what could be an excellent series. The story line is definitely unique and enjoyable. DELTA BLUES is full of sexy shifters and is not one to be missed.

Gray and his pack of four are undercover and are sent to a strip club called The Howling. It is here that he sees a young Red Wolf that definitely catches his attention. Gray can't get over the pull of the sexy stripper, but something is off. The scent of attraction is there but no arousal. Gray simply must figure out what is going on, for that sexy Red Wolf is his mate.

Ryan works the pole like he did any other night. There is something about this one wolf that calls to him. He breaks the rules, knowing the consequences that will befall him. See, the owner of the club is a sadist and he has taken a liking to Ryan.

When Grey comes for Ryan, all hell breaks loose. Grey is not just some Wolf shifter, oh no, he is a Dire Wolf! This prehistoric wolf has never been seen by human eyes and thought to have long ago been extinct.

DELTA BLUES pulled me in from page one and kept me glued until the last word was read. I wanted to learn more about the characters, as there was a lot that was glanced over, but it didn't take too much away from the story. Also, this was a case of "insta-love" but given that the characters are wolves and only get one mate, that can be over looked. I was really impressed with the writing and that is saying something, considering Ellen Cross is a new-to-me author. I will be continuing this series as soon as possible.

Any fans of paranormal m/m romance books should definitely check this one out. The characters are as unique as the animals they shift into and it is a shorter book, perfect to fill an evening. I would highly recommend DELTA BLUES and have already purchased a copy for myself.
