Attraction for Adam was not a handsome face, a striking smile, or beautiful eyes, but a scent that would drive him to distraction or a voice that could make his heart beat faster. When the combination of the two walked into his life in Luke, Adam couldn't help but want him. But how was he supposed to know if Luke felt the same attraction? He had no prior experience, no past encounters, nothing to help him. Not even his sight.
One look at Adam and Luke wanted him. Sensual, gorgeous, kind, with a strength that Luke was drawn to, Adam was everything Luke desired. Being in Adam's arms, showing him the pleasure of a man's body, being touched, held, and desired in return, had Luke wanting more, had him wanting what he knew he couldn't have.
It didn't matter to him that Adam was blind, but Adam deserved more than someone like him. Luke was a man with a broken past and falling in love with Adam was a foolish thing to do, especially because Adam would never love him back if he found out what Luke was hiding.

When the man whom you have been waiting for all your life appears at your doorstep, would you just let him walk away? When you have found the one for you but are scared of rejection, would you turn down the chance or risk it?
Adam Thornton is a teacher, a virgin and has been visually impaired since childbirth. Luke Romano is an apprentice mechanic with a tragic past. He is doing community service by helping out Adam with his schoolwork.
Adam relies heavily on his sense of hearing, touch and smell. His attraction for Luke is nurtured by his heightened senses but he is unsure how to go about his feelings and express them. Luke too is attracted to Adam not only for his physical attributes but also for his kindness, generosity and understanding. He struggles with his emotions and fears how Adam would react should he finally learn the truth about him.
As they get to know each other more, sparks inevitably fly. Their lives that seemed so different and apart are suddenly connected with a link so profound and extraordinary that it will catch you unaware as I have.
Penny Brandon's novel is a refreshing and gratifying read. She has written a story that deals with how barriers could be overcome through acceptance, mutual respect and love. Her grasp of Adam's world and how he copes with his blindness to the tiniest detail is remarkable. Through Adam, she was able to let me "see" things in a different perspective. She reminded me of how much I visually take for granted. As for Luke, I loved how she portrayed him as a troubled young man, how she developed his character and allowed him to grow and surmount his own difficulties.
Her pacing and throwing in some surprises at the right places were just perfect! The dialogs are fresh, witty and intimate, especially the banter between Adam and Luke.
Readers, be forewarned though! The book is loaded with very detailed sexual situations that read like a step-by-step manual for beginners. The heat level is hot enough to chase the chill away!
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. BLIND PASSION goes beyond the physical and proves that love is truly blind and very very sensual too.
