Erotic Romance, Ménage or more, Paranormal Romance, Vamps & Shifters Romance

Human contact is the last thing Sable wants, and the she-wolf lives wild to avoid any chance encounters. But when a hunter sees the beautiful woman transform into his quarry, she becomes fair game. Jude and his twin, Jonas, capture the feral creature and plan to tame the wild beast, but her mating frenzy ignites their lust and blurs the line between captor and captive.

The she-wolf can't deny her attraction to the brothers, and their passion creates a strong bond that none are willing to accept. Sable has no desire for a pair of human mates, but destiny steps in, and she finds herself mated to men who only think of her as an animal. Suddenly, she's in more danger than she thought possible, and the need to escape increases. But the bond between her and her captors is sealed, and she discovers surrender isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Can a sexy Lycan shifter fall for twin brothers who are holding her captive? Will twins, Jude and Jonas, let anything come between them – even if it turns out to be love?

Mating Call is definitely a love story of a different kind. Jude (the hunter) and Jonas (the scientist) find themselves facing a sibling rivalry like none other when Sable crosses their paths. Jude captures Sable and brings her home to Jonas who is eager to stick her under a microscope and see what makes her tick. However, Jonas gets way more than he bargained for once Sable goes into heat. He is inexplicably drawn to her even though he considers her an “animal.” Their attraction cannot be denied. Jude, on the other hand, wants no part of Sable, that is, until Jonas decides that they could “share” her. Jonas decides that since she’s already in heat, the possibility of her getting pregnant multiplies. He is very excited about studying a half human, half Lycan child. Even though they each have their reasons for not trusting one another, they all find themselves falling deeper into this dangerous liaison. And so begins what I thought would be the usual M/F/M ménage story; but boy, was I wrong.

Ms. Stanley’s excellent development of the main characters makes it impossible not to care for each of them. I found the story compelling and believable. I completely forgot that I was reading a non-traditional love story. This story affected me in a way like no other. I really wanted each brother to win Sable over and live happily ever after, but that would mean one of them would get hurt. I truly felt Sable's torment when she realized that she couldn’t live with or without the brothers. The conflict that developed between Jude and Jonas was an emotional roller-coaster ride that kept me riveted. It's impossible not to mention the sizzling hot, well-written sex scenes. I am happy to say that they didn’t take over the story and were a very necessary part of this book.

This was book two in the Black Wolf Gorge Series. However, you don’t need to read the first one in order to follow this story. I loved this story. It was hot, sexy, and surprisingly romantic.
