Thalia was a foundling, raised by a King and his Queen. After letting fear and suspicion rule him, the King banishes Thalia after the Queen dies, even though she had nothing to do with it. After making a horrible decision in order to survive, Thalia is left with a fear of men and is as happy as she can be in the solitude of her Forest. However, Lumos/Night Dragon has heard her Dragonsong and is on his way to meet his mate. Their adventures start, with Thalia slowly learning to trust Lumos along the way, as he learns how to deal with a fearful mate.
Seeing the bond between them grow as she learns more about Lumos was a delight to read. With steamy scenes aplenty, they still have time to learn about each other and Lumos' kingdom. With changes all around, they have obstacles and terrors to face, before they can relax and spend time with each other.
Well-written and with a smooth pace, this was a pleasant story to immerse in. Definitely recommended.
