Galvin is the Ityu pack Beta. He's never experienced the Wandering and is starting to believe he doesn't have a destined mate out there waiting for him.

Troy has a secret he can't tell his friends, he's a Hunter. His father has groomed him since birth to hunt the unnatural and protect humans. Imagine his surprise when he comes face to face with the very monster he's supposed to destroy and he feels desire.

Galvin is thrilled when Troy chooses him, but he needs to figure out how to keep Ityu Lake a secret from the group of Hunters closing in on them when he sees one of them talking with his mate. He also needs to keep Troy safe, knowing the Hunters will use him to get to Galvin.

His problems are further complicated by a member of his own pack trying for his position as Beta. Knowledge of Troy could be the very thing the other wolf needs to push himself up the ladder.

The fourth book in the Itayu Lake series is about Galvin, Beta of the Wolf Pack. He has never experienced the Wandering and is afraid that it means he isn't destined to have a mate. Troy is from a Hunter family, but keeps on failing the final exam. On a camping trip, Troy bumps into Galvin in wolf form. He keeps his cool but can't figure out why he is suddenly obsessed with a wolf. That is, until he realises what it means.

Things between Galvin and Troy heat up very quickly, and Troy does what he has to to ensure Galvin's safety (and the rest of the Itayu Lake population). He has lessons to learn and beliefs to cast aside as his eyes are opened to the truth. Will he be able to accept his new way of life, or will the past keep him in its grip?

This is my favourite book so far, and that is saying something because I have loved all of them! The connection between Galvin and Troy was instantaneous. Troy makes hard decisions and he pays the price for them. Nothing is glossed over, you feel his pain after a phone call!

Very well written, THE HUNTER'S WOLF is a wonderful addition and the story is still going on. I can't wait to read more. Highly recommended by me.
