Don't judge a book by its cover….
At over six feet, with a body honed in the gym, auto worker Donavan Gregory is used to people assuming he's a dominant top. Unfortunately, they're wrong, and Donavan's desire to explore his submissive side goes unfulfilled.
Smaller and older than Donavan, Doctor Seth Manning might not look like a typical dominant, but when the two men meet at Pride, Donavan realized Seth might be his perfect counterpart. The trouble is, Donavan doesn't have as much experience with the BDSM world as he'd like. What could an educated, handsome, and confident man like Seth possibly see in someone like him? Seth must convince him that despite the differences on the surface, when it comes to kinky fun and discovery, they'll fit together just fine.

Will insecurities keep Donavan from finding true love and exploring his submissive side?
Donavan Gregory is tall, built, and struggling to find somebody who can understand his need to submit. Seth Manning is smart, confident, and looking for somebody willing to submit to him in the bedroom. The attraction between these two was instant, but building a lasting relationship will take a bit longer.
Donavan is self-conscious about his lack of money and a college degree. He's concerned that Seth's physical attraction to him will eventually wear off. He's also never been in a relationship before, and he's worried about how quickly he's falling for Seth. However, Seth is a smart doctor, and he realizes how amazing Donavan is and has no intention of letting him go. Although Seth comes from money, he worked very hard to become a doctor. He appreciates that Donavan works hard regardless of the type of work Donavan does. He just has to convince Donavan of this fact.
Donavan's insecurity added a little bit of anxiety to the relationship, but it never created any serious drama. The majority of the time, we were treated to some erotic fun at the club and in Seth's home and playroom. The submission was limited to their sexual interactions, and included bondage, spanking, and flogging. It was sweet to watch these two enjoy each other's company on dates and with family and friends. Donavan's friend, Cain, played a fun role in the story, and I hope we get a chance to see him find happiness.
A sweet story about two people finding a connection without regard to physical attributes or financial status.

OVERRIDE was a perfect mix between sweetness and passion. It's a great statement of seeing beyond appearances and being able to try new experiences.
Donavan's physical attributes had always made people see him as a Dom. His desires are more oriented to being submissive, but no one would give him a chance. When Seth, an experienced and confident Dom, comes into the scene, he decides Donavan is what he's being looking for and is willing to show him he way to be a good sub.
It was an interesting concept, being able to put aside what people would expect, and start caring for our true desires. Donavan was not experienced in the submissive role but it was nice to see him try. It was great to see how a competent partner could make the experience less stressful for him and the way the relationship started building was just great. Seth was a somehow flawless character, someone who I would hardly be attracted to, but the author made a great job making him likable. He was self-confident, but didn't seemed arrogant, at moments he was a little too perfect, but there still was something interesting about him. He was a nice character.
The story might have happened in a short time, but it didn't feel like the relationship was forced. The characters' feelings for each other start growing fast, but it felt real. I truly believe that they weren't just driven by lust, but they got to really care for each other. It was nice to see how the relationship developed.
The BDSM scenes were rather soft, but extremely hot nonetheless. It was one of the things I enjoyed more. It was good to see that the story didn't center only in that aspect, but it also managed to create a great relationship that would be believable even if there weren't a Dom/sub element involved.
It was a great book, I really enjoyed reading it. It was hot, fun and sweet. I think any reader who likes M/M pairing would enjoy it. It might involve BDSM scenes, but as I mentioned, they are a little soft and I don't think it would be disturbing for readers who aren't too much experienced in the subject.
