Ever create sexual fantasies about your boss and then post it on your "anonymous" blog? What happens when you get caught? All is not what it seems—your boss isn't human, instead, he's a Ghillie Duhb. What is a Ghillie Duhb? It is a guardian spirit of the trees from Scottish folklore. Yes, I had to look this up too, even though it was explained in the book later on.

This is my first story from Ms. Bordeaux. I didn't fully understand the world she created, but after a bit, I figured out it was a world where paranormals are mixed in with humans, yet there are paranormals hate groups. In this story, Avery Beck is one of many secretaries at a large firm. Her boss is the delectable Logan Forrester. He's also a man featured in her naughty little fantasies. Avery learns the hard way that fantasies should not be recorded in Social Medias because it's relatively easy to trace back to her.

I can really see this happening, where a not-so-careful young girl posts some racy desires on her blog and Facebook. In the real world, she'd most likely be fired. In Ms. Bordeaux's world, not so. Instead, she's forced to act out the fantasies with her boss after he confronts her. This was a nice little twist I enjoyed. Personally, I think she should have been thoroughly disciplined for being an irreverent little minx.

While teaching Avery a lesson, Logan is under threat and has to take action to protect both of them. There is a reason why Logan is interested in Avery and why he's specifically hunted. The story reveals he's a paranormal Ghillie Duhb. Human rights groups aren't fond of his kind.

One of the reasons why I ranked this book only as a 3 star is because I didn't fully understand the world Ms. Bordeaux created. There are hints of how the lands where paranormals live are frightening, which is why Avery is resistant to go there. Yet Logan makes the lands sound safe and perfectly dreamy. It's never fully explained why they have such opposing views.

The other reason I was a bit let down was while there were lovely BDSM sexual toys mentioned, no real scenes were played out. The sex between the two was good, just not out of this world for me. There's hint of BDSM, yet not even one intense scene felt like a cock tease.

Still, the story was fine and I'd read another Ms. Bordeaux book. I recommend it to those who have a kinky little fantasy about their boss and want to know what could happen, if they are ever caught.
