SUMMARY
FROM NEW YORK TIMES AND #1 INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLING AUTHOR J. KENNER comes the highly anticipated fourth novel in the fast-paced series including Release Me, Claim Me, and Complete Me. This sexy, emotionally charged romance continues the story of Damien Stark, the powerful multimillionaire who's never had to take "no" for an answer, and his beloved wife Nikki Fairchild Stark, the Southern belle who only says "yes" on her own terms.

It's a new chapter in the life of Nikki and Damien Stark ...

Though shadows still haunt us, and ghosts from our past continue to threaten our happiness, my life with Damien is nothing short of perfection. He is my heart and my soul. My past and my future. He is the man who holds me together, and his love fuels my days and enchants my nights.

But when tragedy and challenge from both inside and outside the sanctity of our marriage begin to chip away at our happiness, I am forced to realize that even a perfect life can begin to crack. And if Damien and I are going to win this new battle, it will take all of our strength and love ...

3 completely ambivalent stars for ANCHOR ME.

In the latest installment of the Stark Trilogy, Nikki has married the love of her life, Damien Stark. Things are blissful between them, her business is taking off and she's just learned there'll be a baby Stark coming soon. But just as the couple is celebrating their good fortunes, the real world intrudes once again on the Stark family, and the couple is left treading water and uncertain about the future.

Nikki and Damien are back again in book 4 of the Stark Trilogy (see the problem there? Not to mention there are actually 12 books...so far), and this one was just as irritating to me as the first 3. I don't like Nikki or Damien, she's annoying and insecure, while Damien continues to be secretive and a little smarmy. The couple does have great chemistry though, evidenced by the plethora of erotic sex scenes. Which I skimmed, as they were all the same and there were just SO MANY. The culmination of the book was sad, but my lack of connection with the couple kept me detached when I typically would bawl my eyes out. I think fans of the 50 Shades series will adore the Stark Trilogy (and be thrilled that J. Kenner's command of the English language is above a 10th grade level), but as I hated the former, the latter didn't appeal to me whatsoever. I'm happy to be done with this series.

Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; no condom use; BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; no violence/murder.
