5 jewel encrusted stars for RAZR!

Elite battle angel Razr has been stuck in Sheoul-gra working for the Grim Reaper himself, Azagoth, trying to complete his mission and return to Heaven. Sent to hell as punishment for losing 3 of Heaven's most valuable gems, finding one of them will restore him to full-on angel status. Razr's never heard of a gem elf, but the moment he meets Jedda Brighton, his life is changed. Jedda has the gem he needs to be restored as an angel, only problem is that taking it from her would mean certain death. The two will have to battle both angels and demons to live to fight another day, but now that they're bonded, they'll fight side by side.

RAZR is a novella in the Demonica Underworld series, and also a stand-alone addition to the innovative and fun 1001 Dark Nights series featuring sensual and erotic stories by a variety of popular authors inspired by the classic The Arabian Nights tale.

For some reason, Ms. Ione's Demonica Underworld series is like catnip for me. I'm not entirely sure why, since I'm not your typical paranormal fan, nor am I particularly religious, and this series is heavy with both of those elements. Now, that's not to say that these books are preachy (because nobody wants that in an erotic romance), but I'm sure it helps to know some elements of biblical history when trying to place the Horsemen of the Apocalypse and fallen angels and the various degrees of hell. But I digress.

The funnest thing about this book is Jedda and her crazy gem elfin peculiarities. Like crying gems and diamond dusted panic attacks. Fantastic! I adored her, and Razr's immediate and visceral reaction to her was delicious. I find myself looking forward to more of Ms. Ione's vivid imagination and more books in this series. The only question I have is where one can purchase that magical quartz crystal dildo? Asking for a friend…

Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; no condom use (they're supernatural beings); no BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; angelic and demonic violence/murder.
