SUMMARY
The Talon Pack continues with a new twist to the Packs and a revelation no one was prepared for.

Mitchell Brentwood is aware that others think he's the harsh taskmaster Beta trying to keep his Pack alive, but they only see what he wants them to know. He'd once thought he had his path laid out before him, but when his future was violently ripped away, he vowed he'd never let anyone close again—especially not a young wolf from a traitorous Pack.

Dawn Levin may be younger than the war that destroyed her people, but she knows she must still pay for their sins. She's ready to find her way in this new world where wolves and humans blend as one, but first, she needs to fight her attraction to the dark wolf that stands in her way.

While the two struggle with their feelings and burning attraction for each other, they can't ignore the world that shakes beneath their feet. There is a new enemy on the horizon, one with revenge and the unknown on their minds. An adversary that might be closer than they realize.

4 fangalicious stars for DESTINY DISGRACED!

As Beta of the Talon Pack, Mitchell Brentwood has always known his place in the world, just like he's known he'd never have another mate after his died years ago. When he meets Maternal Dominant of the unofficial Central Pack, Dawn Levin, he can't understand why his wolf seems to want hers like nothing else. Dawn's Pack was torn apart decades ago after the elders made some seriously bad choices. But now it seems like the moon goddess might bestow official Pack status upon them once again, and there's something in the air. Not everyone is happy about the changes coming to the Packs though, and it might put more than just the wolves of the Central Pack in danger.

DESTINY DISGRACED took me a while to get into, but once I did, I was enthralled. I've read other books in the Talon Pack series, which I've liked, however shifter romance is never my first choice in genres and it takes some seriously good writing for me to really enjoy. Carrie Ann Ryan is definitely one of those authors who can seamlessly blend the wild and the everyday into a very cool world of wolves and witches and humans finding their places in the world.

Dawn and Mitchell had amazing chemistry, and though I felt for him having lost his mate years ago and questioning his ability to love again, I felt worse for Dawn and the lack of children in her Pack to care for. You could tell she just wasn't whole, Mitchell either, but that together they could be. I find myself actually really looking forward to the next book in the series as well as excited to check out the ones I've missed.

Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; some condom use; no BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; some paranormal violence/murder.
