Wow! My first ever menage novel! I have NEVER read a novel about m/m/f or f/f/m or anything like that. I can honestly say that I truly enjoyed this. The author's attention to detail of history, along with the way the men felt about these things, back during a time when things like this couldn't be out in the open, was outstanding. The characters were created realistically and really captured my heart.

Kate. Now that's a character I enjoyed reading about. She wanted to escape her past of being led on by a married man, so she did something she never thought she would do: she answered a mail-order bride ad. The whole time she was thinking she would be answering this ad in hopes of finding love in her marriage, even if it took some time. Little did she know, Joe, her intended husband, was in love with someone else. Someone that he had to keep a secret for fear of rumors and accusations.

Ryan. My heart truly went out to Ryan. In this short time, in this short story, I felt for him. He was in love with Joe, and well, he was scared of the arrangement that Joe made with Kate. Joe was his, and his alone.

I'll stop there, for if I go any more I'll give the story away. I will say this: this is one HOT and AWESOME novella! Definitely filled with friendship, love, trust, and passion. I highly recommend this to all those who love a good western, a good passionate love story. You will love Xondra Day's writing style and I, for one, am looking forward to more work by this talented author!
