Sierra Malone lived in fear that one day her ex-boyfriend, Kevin, would find her and kill her once and for all. She believed that as long as she did not use credit cards or anything that could trace back to her name, she was safe. Well, think again. Just because you flee across the country and decide to stay with a college roommate doesn't mean you can't be traced.

That was how Chase Price was able to find Sierra but it also helped that he was a cop. Only, he had his own agenda of seeking her outóuse her as bait in order to find a reason to arrest Kevin. Someone dear to him and his family had been taken by Kevin and he needed for him to pay back not only for his sake but for his mom and dad. However, he also semi fell in love with Sierra as he investigated her relationship with Kevin. There was something about her that made him want to protect her. He knew that it was just a matter of time before Kevin found her and tried to finish the job.

Sierra battles with trust since Kevin started abusing her, but there was something in Chase that made it easy to talk to him. After she learns the truth about Chase she agrees to have him protect her but at what cost?

All that I can say is there is fall out from the moment that Kevin finds Sierra meaning, a shooting; there are deadly phone calls, an explosion and also a final kidnapping. It all happens so quickly but believe me it keeps you wanting to turn the page to see if Sierra will ever be safe from Kevin again. The help of prayer and the belief in God was something that Sierra believed so much and she helped Chase pray again and trust that God would help and not let him down. He is there to guide his children as long as you believe.

This is the first book that I read from Wendy Davy and I can say with utmost confidence that I will be reading more of her books. DEADLY CHASE was filled with suspense as well as sweet blissful romance. The chemistry between the two characters was amazing. If you love reading a good romance story with a twist of suspense, then this book is for you. You will not regret it.
