If you are in the mood for a quick menage fix, don't look any further. BREAKING THE COWBOY is a great story for you.
It's been twelve years since Nick ran away. He left his home and his love behind... and broke Mason's heart. Now he's back, but although the feelings are still there, a lot of things have changed. A lot of time has passed. Is it too late? Is a mere possibility of finding happiness enough to risk heartbreak? It's a good thing Nick has Leslie on his side. Because he needs all the help he can get.
Leslie has been a friend to these guys since they were kids. And although both of them loved her, she knew they were in love with each other. She also knows the reason Nick went away, and now needs to convince Mason he deserves a chance to explain, without giving anything away. But things are about to become even more complicated once Nick and Mason realize they've both fallen in love with Leslie. Now what? Can they figure it all out and find a way to make it work?
BREAKING THE COWBOY is a quick, enjoyable read. Perfect if you don't have much time, or just want a book that can be read in one sitting. It is rather hot, and has some m/m scenes, beside the expected m/m/f ones.
I loved the idea, the characters are likable, and the chemistry between them is good.
The thing that did not work so well for me has to do with the length. If the story were longer, there would be more room for Nick and Mason to address the issues they had. The fast forgiveness - probably in order to leave space for their relationship with Leslie - does not sound plausible enough, especially after such a long separation. Other than that, the story was rather nice.
